Many large corporations request Sly's original commissioned art for various uses including building structure lobby, atrium and high level office display.
This was 1 of 6 original commissions by a private corporation for display in each main company headquarters located in different states. It was requested that the brand be somewhat apparent in the piece as well as local influences based on that location. This one was based in Rhode Island, prompting the lighthouse and financial readouts of this stock firm.
Others were located in Orlando using Disney imagery and palms for the Florida essence, and Houston, Washington DC and other states.
A Robert Rauschenberg feel was desired for this collection, representing the many multi-faceted business types this corporation offers its customers and clients.
