One of the most primal examples of an artist's talent are their rendering abilities. Sly has composed works with stunning realism since the age of 15.
"Morning Brunch Study" represents a snapshot in time via graphite pencil on crescent board.
The soft, natural folds of the napkin contrasting the cold metal and glass subjects around it captured his attention and inspired this study.
Simalar to the style of Edgar Degas, Sly intentionally leaves mere line descriptions of other objects in the foreground allowing the viewer to focus on the subject that mattered most to him.
