In the impressionist styling similar to Edgar Degas and Paul Cezanne, this mixed-media study of a ballet dancer preparing the shoes for her daughter brought me to a place of great inspiration. Mostly in the way that the mother has transferred her love of dance to her precious daughter.
"The addition of cut paper represents generational differences as a comparison to my place in time with that of Degas and Cezanne."
Subtle blues from the mother Dancer's dress are found on the legs of the daughter as her love for dance is found upon her.
